Antique Victorian Mahogany Canterbury Magazine Rack features a classic musical Harp Lyre design. The divided compartments are perfect for magazines, books and newspapers. The base contains 2 drawers that are beautifully figured, with substantial brass pulls and the whole piece stands on brass castors.
Antique Canterbury was first introduced in the late 18th Century Georgian period ca. 1780 and got its name from the first commissioned piece by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Canterbury was popular throughout the 19th Century Victorian and later Edwardian periods

Condition: Old repairs of breaks at all four turned top ends. This is a vintage piece and as such displays a mild level of wear from age.
