Vintage Art Deco Standard Line Chest Trunk has a Jacobean style mix of Early English and European style with rich Walnut wood with a burled bow front flanked by bookmatched panels and highlighted by applied carved details throughout. Featuring Bakelite knobs and drawer pulls and original oval electric clock, marked New Haven. It has 3 compartments on the top, 2 of them are trinket boxes with lids, and the third is a hinged felt lined trinket box with a small mirrored drawer directly under it. On the bottom is a full sized linen drawer with mirrored sides. Raised on baluster legs and a trestle base. The chest interior is made of fine quality Tennessee Cedar and marked “Standard Line, Chicago, IL”. The design elements of this piece are remarkable, c. 1930’s.

Condition: Clock has been rewired for safety. Lock does not work. Mirrors on bottom drawer are cracked near knobs. A small piece of applied trim missing at front. This is a vintage piece and as such displays a mild level of wear from age
