Cox found much inspiration for his floral paintings in California and became one of the most prolific painters of the 1970’s and 1980’s. He established a huge reputation in the United States for his neo-Victorian style and his adoption of the pallet knife in creating flowers. His work is represented in many American Museums, galleries, and private collections
