Vintage West Branch Novelty Co. Queen Anne style lift-top chest features Mahogany construction with a beveled edge top that opens to an interior cedar lined storage, and one lower dovetailed drawer. Has faux drawer front with central emblem and raised on cabriole legs with pad feet.
The West Branch Novelty Company of Milton, Pennsylvania was established in 1893. Three years after the company was incorporated in 1910, the cedar chests made by the company had become the most important single line of merchandise produced. They were usually sold through department stores, and West Branch chests could be purchased in all leading department stores of the nation.
